How to tell if your baby has dark skin or jaundice

To distinguish whether your baby has dark skin or jaundice, you can do so through symptoms, manifestations and blood tests.
1. Symptoms: When a baby develops jaundice, his trunk, limbs and the white of his eyes may be yellow, and his urine and stools and vomit may also be yellow. A dark-skinned baby’s eyes and bowel movements are the same as those of a normal baby.
2. Performance: babies with jaundice symptoms are prone to poor spirit and loss of appetite, while dark-skinned babies’ spirit and diet will not be affected, so they can be distinguished from each other.
3. Blood test: When babies with jaundice symptoms undergo blood test, it is obvious that the level of bilirubin in the blood has risen, whereas when dark-skinned babies undergo blood test, the level of bilirubin in the body is within the normal range.
If your baby has any of the above suspected symptoms of jaundice, it is recommended that you go to the hospital in time for early and regular treatment.
