Low menstrual flow is considered to be related to normal conditions, abnormal ovarian function, multiple uterine operations, etc. If a woman’s menstrual flow has been low since menarche and there is no discomfort, it will not affect her pregnancy; however, if a woman has abnormal ovarian function or a history of multiple uterine operations, it may affect her pregnancy.
1. Normal condition: If the amount of menstruation is low since the first menstruation, but there is nothing special about the menstruation cycle and period, it is considered to be related to hereditary factors, and generally will not affect pregnancy.
2. Abnormal ovarian function: If the low menstrual flow is caused by gynecological endocrine diseases such as Polycystic Ovary Syndrome or Premature Ovarian Failure, it will lead to a decrease in the chances of getting pregnant due to the combination of irregular ovulation.
3. Multiple uterine operations: For women who have undergone multiple uterine operations such as abortion, IUD removal and episiotomy, the process will cause different degrees of damage to the uterine lining resulting in thinning of the lining, thus causing low menstrual flow, which will in turn affect the implantation of fertilized eggs, thus affecting the woman’s ability to have a normal pregnancy.
For women with low menstrual flow, it is recommended that they go to the gynecology department of a regular hospital to improve ultrasound, sex hormones and other relevant examinations, and if necessary, actively treat them, so as not to affect normal pregnancy.
