Where does colon cancer grow?

Since human colon is relatively long about 1.5m, colon cancer can theoretically grow in any location of colon, including cecum, ascending colon, transverse colon, descending colon, sigmoid colon and so on, and the tumor can occur. Of course, the names of tumors occurring in different parts of the colon are different. If a tumor occurs in the ascending colon, it is called ascending colon cancer, a tumor occurring in the transverse colon is called transverse colon cancer, and a tumor occurring in the descending colon is called descending colon cancer, and so on. Of course, the size of the tumor may cause intestinal obstruction or anemia, and there may be enlarged lymph nodes around the tumor and mesenteric root lymph nodes, which lead to different symptoms, for example, tumors in the right hemicolon are usually seen more often with anemia, malaise, malnutrition and so on, and tumors in the left hemicolon are mainly seen more often with intestinal obstruction symptoms.
