To determine whether a follicle is shrinking or ovulating, you can look at the woman’s conscious symptoms and ultrasound examination.
1. Women’s conscious symptoms: during ovulation, if ovulation is normal, some women will have pain in the lower back and abdomen and a feeling of falling. If the egg shrinks and is not discharged, there are no such symptoms. However, some women do not have any reaction to ovulation, so this way of judgment is not applicable to all women.
2. Ultrasound: When ovulation is monitored by ultrasound, the follicles will gradually increase in size, and when they suddenly become smaller after maturity, and there is fluid in the pelvis, or the pelvic fluid that was already there becomes more, it means that ovulation has taken place. If the follicle grows to a certain level and suddenly becomes smaller, and there is no fluid in the pelvis or the existing fluid remains unchanged, it means that the follicle has atrophied. This approach is available to all women.
