Where is the location of the appendix ct

In CT the appendix is located in the lower right abdomen, which is about to enter the pelvis. The normal appendix is usually less than 0.6 centimeters in diameter, and the length varies from person to person, with some people having a short appendix and others having a long appendix. If the diameter of the appendix is more than 0.6 cm, there is fluid in the appendix cavity, there is an embedded fecal stone in the appendix cavity, or there is exudation around the appendix, it means that the appendix is inflamed. If there is more oozing around the appendix, with the omentum or small intestine wrapped in a mass, then an appendiceal abscess has formed. When inflammation of the appendix occurs, early surgical removal is recommended. If the appendix is septic or gangrenous, conservative treatment may lead to perforation. If a simple appendicitis is treated conservatively, it may progress to chronic appendicitis or recur to acute appendicitis.
