I don’t know when, it should be the end of the 20th century, the beginning of the 21st century, the streets and alleys of Auntie Zhang, Auntie Wang, Auntie Li all say: breast lobular growth, soy milk can not drink, drink it will be cancerous. Even the community and medical checkup centers will be so advertised. The rumors are spread more and more, it seems to become true, not many people are serious to go to the root for proof. Is it true that you can’t drink soy milk? If that’s true, the owner of the tofu store has cancer, and she eats about more than we all do, and it’s all fresh and extra thick. From a nutritional standpoint, soy has very little fat and no cholesterol. In terms of protein availability, soy foods are the only plant protein that can stand up to meat. Soy has many health-related components, including protein kinase inhibitors that help maintain normal cell growth and activity, phytosterols and saponins that help regulate cholesterol, and phenolic acids and inositol hexaphosphate that are antioxidants. One very important ingredient in soy is isoflavones, also known as phytoestrogens, which have a two-way regulatory effect in the human body. Phytoestrogens have a molecular structure similar to estrogen and can bind to estrogen receptors to produce estrogen-like effects, but their effects are much weaker than the effects of estrogen in the human body, and when the body is deficient in estrogen, its binding can play a role in supplementing estrogen; and when When the estrogen level in the body is too high, its binding acts as an inhibitor because it prevents the binding of estrogen, which is equivalent to lowering the effect of autologous estrogen. In a Japanese study, it was found that women who drank more than three bowls of Japanese miso soup (soy as the main ingredient) per day had a 40% reduction in the incidence of breast cancer compared to those who drank only one bowl [1]. According to studies in leading medical journals, eating moderate amounts of soy products is beneficial in reducing the risk of breast cancer in Asian populations, but not in Westerners [2-4]. The Chinese have been consuming soybean products for a long time, and more than 2000 years ago, during the Han Dynasty, there was a poem by Han Le Fu that read, “In the back garden, the well was cut and silver was used as a bed, and the golden bottle was used to draw cold milk”. Chinese people not only started to eat soybeans early, but also are very good at making all kinds of soybean products, such as soy milk, tofu, dried beans, bean curd skin, bean curd, vegetarian chicken, soybean flour ……, soybean products can be called the material cultural heritage of the Chinese people. Today, we are doing justice to soy milk and to the Soy family, and the relationship between soy milk and breast cancer is a healthy one. Also: genetically modified soybeans are the new offspring of the soy family, no knowledge, no evaluation!
