Can you squeeze a chalk tumor?

Acne, also known as sebaceous cysts, should not be squeezed. Sebaceous cysts are cystic structures in the skin that are formed when the sebaceous glands have excessive oily secretions that cannot be excreted in a timely manner due to blockage of the sebaceous ducts or poor drainage.

Sebaceous cysts themselves have a cystic wall, and the main tissue within the cystic wall is oily secretion. If squeezed, only part of the secretion can be squeezed out, while the cyst wall cannot be squeezed out. By squeezing, the cyst may temporarily become smaller, but it will recur and can easily become infected.

Squeezing will cause local capillary dilatation, coupled with the increase in local secretions, there may also be secondary infection, so sebaceous cysts should not be squeezed.

Sebaceous cysts are usually treated by surgical removal of the cystic structure, and if there is infection, abscess formation requires incision and drainage.

Sebaceous cysts should be treated in a timely manner, under the guidance of a professional doctor to take appropriate treatment measures.
