Are there any nerves in the wisdom teeth?

Wisdom teeth usually contain dental nerves.
1. Wisdom teeth are normal teeth. Since they are the last teeth to erupt and deteriorate in the oral cavity, their morphology is diverse and varies greatly. However, they still have a normal tooth structure, which is divided into three layers from the outside to the inside: enamel (dentin), dentin, and pulp cavity. The pulp cavity contains cells, fibers, blood vessels, and nerves. Wisdom teeth can suffer from caries and pulpitis just like any other teeth.
2. The nerves in the pulp cavity belong to the terminal branches of the trigeminal nerve, and the lack of wisdom teeth will not affect the function of the trigeminal nerve. However, some wisdom teeth have different forms and are in close proximity to the inferior alveolar nerve, so there is a risk of damage to the inferior alveolar nerve.
If you have any abnormalities of wisdom teeth, please go to a regular hospital for timely and active treatment to avoid delay.
