Cerebral aneurysm intervention is by far the most popular and least damaging treatment for cerebral aneurysms. Under the traction of catheter guide wire, the interventional therapy enters into the aneurysm from femoral artery, releases the spring coil, fills up the content of the aneurysm, strengthens the aneurysm wall and cures the aneurysm. Commonly used methods are as follows: 1) simple spring coil embolization; 2) stent-assisted spring coil embolization; 3) double catheter embolization: for when the aneurysm-carrying artery is important and a stent cannot be placed; 4) balloon-assisted embolization; 5) closure of the internal carotid artery; and 6) overlay stenting: for when the aneurysm is difficult to embolize and there is no branching vessel.
