Is a lung infection tuberculosis?

Pulmonary infections are not exclusively tuberculosis. Pulmonary infection is an infection of the lungs by different pathogenic agents that causes an associated inflammatory response. It can be caused by bacterial, fungal, viral, and Mycobacterium tuberculosis infections, so TB is part of a lung infection. However, when pulmonary infection occurs, it is usually necessary to improve the relevant tests, such as routine blood tests, calcitoninogen, blood culture, sputum culture, sputum tuberculosis smear, sputum fungal smear, and even bronchoscopy, in order to clarify the causative agent of the infection and then provide targeted anti-infection treatment.
