Thyroid nodule 37mm can be treated by regular review, medication and surgery.
If the pathologic examination shows benign nodules or ultrasonography shows that the nodules are likely to be benign and the patient does not have obvious symptoms, the patient can temporarily undergo regular review to observe the follow-up of the nodules.
If the pathologic examination shows malignant thyroid nodules or benign thyroid nodules with compression symptoms, surgical treatment is required. If the thyroid function is abnormal people need to be treated with medication, such as hyperthyroidism need to take propylthiouracil and other anti-thyroid drugs, such as hypothyroidism need to take levothyroxine sodium tablets for hormone replacement therapy.
Thyroid nodule 37mm is already a large nodule, it is likely to produce pressure symptoms, such as dysphagia, dyspnea, hoarseness, etc. or pathological examination shows that it is a malignant thyroid nodule, it is recommended to perform surgical resection in the above cases.
Patients with 37mm thyroid nodules should be treated under a doctor’s supervision.
