The bivalent, quadrivalent and nine-valent HPV vaccines are currently available in China. The difference between the three vaccines is that the subtypes are different, and so are the populations for which they are used. The bivalent vaccine is suitable for preventing HPV types 16 and 18 viruses and is applicable to women between the ages of 9 and 25. The quadrivalent vaccine includes types 6 and 11 of the virus in addition to the above two. Nine-valent vaccine is able to effectively prevent HPV types 11, 18, and 6, as well as types 31, 33, 45, and 52, and is able to prevent pre-cancerous lesions on the cervix and 2/3 of the outside of the vagina, with a prevention rate of up to 95%. However, the nine-valent vaccine is just now on the market, and the demand for the vaccine may still exceed the supply, so it is necessary to make an appointment to register in the community before you can line up to have the injection.
