Minimally invasive technology shows its hand

Minimally invasive techniques for the spine have existed for 50 years. With the continuous development of high-tech medical equipment, advanced equipment such as “C-arms, O-arms, navigation, channels, light sources, endoscopes, radiofrequency” have emerged and been updated, thus giving surgeons a “fluoroscopic eye” and “fluoroscopic eye”. The surgeon thus has a “fluoroscopic eye” and “transilluminating eye”, making minimally invasive treatment of many diseases a real reality. More and more spinal diseases that require surgical treatment can be perfectly and effectively solved through “minimally invasive” methods. As one of the first hospitals in China to develop minimally invasive spine technology, the orthopedic department of the hospital has been using minimally invasive technology for more than a decade to treat many spine diseases and has performed minimally invasive surgery on many spine patients, especially in cases of lumbar disc herniation treated with TV microdiscectomy, all with good results. In addition to this treatment, minimally invasive spine technology has also shown advantages in the treatment of lumbar spondylolisthesis, lumbar stenosis, lumbar instability, thoracolumbar fractures of the spine (especially osteoporotic compression fractures in the elderly), spinal tuberculosis, and spinal tumors. Compared with traditional surgery, minimally invasive techniques can perform corresponding lesion removal, stenosis decompression and enlargement, slip repositioning, and internal fixation of fracture instability for the above diseases to achieve good treatment, while avoiding the disadvantages of traditional surgery such as large incision, injury, bleeding, and slow recovery, making the surgical treatment of diseases simpler and safer.
