Baohe Pills cannot cure stomach cold and intestinal heat. Baohe Pills are mainly used to treat food stagnation (food that is poorly digested and stagnates in the stomach) stagnation, with the effects of eliminating food stagnation (promoting food digestion) and harmonizing the stomach. Bao He Wan is composed of Hawthorn (charred), Liu Shen Qu (sautéed), Semen Xie (prepared), Poria, Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae and Forsythia. It is mainly used for the treatment of distension and fullness in the epigastrium (abdomen) caused by food stagnation, belching and swallowing of acid (swallowing of acid in the stomach upward to the oropharynx), and lack of desire for food. During the period of taking the medicine, the diet should be light, avoiding alcohol and spicy, cold and greasy food.
