The endometrial thickness of 1.0cm is measured by ultrasound during gynecologic ultrasound. The endometrial lining is usually thin when the menstruation just clears, then with the development of follicles the endometrial lining will gradually thicken, and after ovulation the normal endometrial lining thickness is between 0.8-1.5cm, so a 1.0cm endometrial lining is very normal. However, for postmenopausal women, it should be less than 0.4cm under normal circumstances. If the thickness of endometrium of postmenopausal women is 1.0cm, it is not normal and is too thick, which may be caused by precancerous endometrium or endometrial cancer, so it is necessary to scrape the uterus for pathological examination.
