How long does it take to get the results of a lumbar CT

Usually, after a lumbar CT is done, the CT film needs to be washed out and then taken to the doctor who reads the film and finally writes a reading report as the diagnosis. If there are more patients, the waiting time is longer. If there are no patients in front of you, the results will be available in about 20 minutes, but for emergency patients who need the results of lumbar CT immediately, there is usually a doctor from the emergency department accompanying them to the CT room. The results can be read out directly from the computer after the CT is done, but this is less common and costs more than for ordinary patients, and the results are only provisional and need to be repeatedly re-read by the CT room doctor before the final diagnostic report is formed.
