Procaterol, or Procaterol Hydrochloride, treats coughs caused by respiratory diseases and other conditions, and has no curative effect on coughs caused by other etiologies. As a bronchodilator, Procaterol Hydrochloride can be used in wheezing bronchitis, bronchial asthma, acute bronchitis with increased bronchial reactivity, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Coughs belonging to the above mentioned diseases can be treated with this product. Procaterol hydrochloride can cause adverse reactions such as dry mouth, nausea, nasal congestion, lethargy, muscle tremors, stomach upset, headache, vertigo, and tinnitus. It is contraindicated in people who are allergic to this product, or to adrenergic receptor agonists. In addition to respiratory diseases, coughing may be caused by psychiatric factors such as anxiety, sudden choking after aspiration, gastroesophageal reflux, etc., when the application of Procaterol Hydrochloride fails to achieve the therapeutic effect.
