Elderly patients with jaw pain should be treated by the appropriate department based on clinical symptoms. If the pain is severe and knife-like, the patient should be seen in neurology; if the patient has a combination of mouth ulcers, redness and pain in the oral mucosa, the patient may be seen in dentistry; if the patient has a combination of swollen and painful lymph nodes in the neck, the patient may be seen in otorhinolaryngology or general surgery.
