What does muscle calcification mean?

Muscle calcification is the localized production of calcification in the muscle due to the healing effect of some pathological factor. Normal muscle tissue is elastic, contractile soft tissue, and is composed of muscle fibers. However, due to some injury-causing factors, such as injuries, strains, bruises, sprains, and other external injury factors, bleeding can occur within the muscle. The hemorrhage is not absorbed in time, and the local bruising becomes calcified like bony tissue by the body’s mechanization. If there is a significant impact on the motor function, it may even need to be removed surgically.
