The cleanliness of the vagina is analyzed by taking the discharge from the vaginal folds or the posterior vaginal fornix. 1-4 degrees of vaginal cleanliness can be classified as 1-2 degrees, which is normal because the female reproductive tract is not completely sterile. 3-4 degrees is normal because of the decrease or absence of lactobacilli and the increase of white blood cells. In this case, itching, redness, swelling, and ectoplasia of the vulva due to purulent leukorrhea can occur, which is treated by washing the vulva and vaginal plugs. Because poor cleanliness means increased bacterial multiplication, medication is needed for symptomatic treatment. Some women do not have any uncomfortable symptoms and it is important to take care of personal hygiene as much as possible to avoid causing vaginal inflammation.
