What causes frequent bowel movements at night



Excessive bowel movements at night may be related to physiologic factors such as excessive food intake, as well as diseases such as indigestion and irritable bowel syndrome.

1. Physiological reasons: when consuming too much food at night, eating too cold or too hot and other stimulating foods, etc., may stimulate intestinal peristalsis, causing excessive bowel movements.

2. Pathologic causes:
