Effects of Epitol

Epiduo can be used alone or in combination with irinotecan, platinum oxalate, and fluorouracil for the initial treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer with wild-type RAS gene. It can also be used in combination with irinotecan in patients who have failed irinotecan-containing therapy. Recommendations: RAS gene mutation status should be tested in an experienced laboratory according to validated methods. Epiduo must be administered under the supervision of a physician experienced in the use of anticancer drugs, and the patient must be closely monitored for 1 hour after the end of its administration and must be equipped with resuscitation equipment. Prior to the first injection of this product, the patient must be treated with antihistamines and it is recommended that this treatment be given to the patient prior to each subsequent administration of this product. The initial weekly dose of Epiduo is 400 mg per square body surface area and thereafter 250 mg per square body surface area per week, with a recommended titration time of 2 hours for the initial dose and 1 hour titration time for each subsequent weekly dose.
