Secondary white spots are mostly considered to be vitiligo, which may spread if standardized treatment is not taken. Vitiligo mostly occurs later in life, and if not treated in time, the white spots may continue to spread to other parts of the body and are prone to persist for a long time. The cause of vitiligo may be related to autoimmune system diseases, destruction of melanocytes and neurochemicals, etc. Clinically, it is mostly characterized by the appearance of white patches on the skin. For patients with vitiligo, it is recommended to apply glucocorticoid medications such as tretinoin and halometasone as prescribed by the doctor to help stop the spread of white patches and may help restore some of the skin color. If the white spots increase or become bigger, patients need to take oral prednisone or injection of compound betamethasone as prescribed by the doctor, which can control the condition. For patients with vitiligo, it is recommended to go to a regular hospital and follow the doctor’s instructions for early treatment to help control the condition.
