Causes of numbness on the right side of the body

Numbness on the right side of the body can be caused by diseases such as cerebral and spinal cord vasculopathy, space occupation, nerve compression, demyelinating lesions, and neurodegeneration.
Numbness is a result of damage to sensory nerves, and problems with the entire sensory communication pathway can lead to numbness on the right side of the body.
(1) Cerebral and spinal cord vascular lesions, space-occupying and demyelinating lesions: Patients with central sensory dysfunction caused by infarction, hemorrhage, or space-occupying and demyelinating lesions in the cerebral and spinal cord blood vessels may experience numbness on the right side of the body, which may be accompanied by dizziness or coma.
(2) Nerve compression: cervical spondylosis or spinal cord tumors lead to nerve compression, and patients may have symptoms of numbness on the right side of the body.
(3) Neurodegeneration: Diabetes or inflammation leads to sensory nerve degeneration, which may cause numbness on the right side of the body.
It is recommended that when patients have symptoms of numbness on the right side of the body, they should go to the hospital in time to see a doctor for treatment under the guidance of the doctor after clarifying the cause of the disease.
