A protruding laryngeal node in a woman does not necessarily mean that she has a thyroid nodule. Thyroid nodule is a cartilaginous protrusion in the throat area of the human body, and the nodule in men is more prominent than that in women, and it is a normal physiological phenomenon. Thyroid nodule is a limited mass in the normal thyroid tissue, which is located on the thyroid gland, which is located in the lower part of the thyroid cartilage in the neck, on both sides of the trachea; therefore, the location of thyroid nodule and laryngeal nodule is usually different, and the protruding nodule of the throat of a woman doesn’t necessarily mean that it is a thyroid nodule. If you suspect that you have thyroid nodules, it is recommended that you go to the hospital, complete the relevant examinations, and ask the doctor to make a judgment in conjunction with the test results.
