Pulmonary stasis, commonly referred to as acute pulmonary edema, is often caused by left heart failure. The appropriate treatment will be used for left heart failure. If it is clear that the patient’s symptoms are particularly severe after admission, such as very pronounced dyspnea, oxygen may be administered, and mechanical assisted therapy may be given for severe cases. In addition to these treatments, patients may be given cardiotonic, diuretic, and vasodilator medications. The most commonly used cardiac drugs are levosimendan, sildenafil, digoxin, milrinone, etc. Diuretic drugs such as torasemide, furosemide, spironolactone, and tolvaptan are usually used. There are also corresponding drugs for vasodilation, but they must be regulated according to the patient’s blood pressure. In addition to this, there are other drugs such as neostimulants and sakubatril valsartan, which are effective in the treatment. There are very serious stages of acute left heart failure, such as patients with renal insufficiency, which do not work well after using diuretics, and some patients may take treatments such as ultrafiltration and dehydration to achieve good results. Acute left heart failure is a more serious syndrome, when patients appear in the above situation, it is recommended to go to the hospital as soon as possible and give the corresponding treatment plan under the guidance of the doctor, so as to relieve the symptoms as soon as possible and avoid serious consequences.
