The causes of pain in the abdomen after meals may be gastric ulcer, cholecystitis, functional dyspepsia and so on.
1. Gastric ulcer: It is mainly caused by gastric ulcer due to the damage of gastric mucosa caused by various physical and chemical factors and drug abuse. After meals, due to the increased secretion of gastric acid, the stimulation of the ulcer surface will be aggravated, thus causing postprandial pain. Abdominal pain caused by gastric ulcers occurs mostly within one hour after meals, and is usually alleviated gradually after one to two hours.
2. Cholecystitis: after meals due to excessive food intake or overfeeding, will lead to increased bile secretion, then cholecystitis is prone to attack, thus causing the symptoms of postprandial abdominal pain.
3. Functional dyspepsia: mainly caused by abnormal gastric dynamics, such as delayed gastric emptying or abnormal neural regulation. The main manifestations are fullness and bloating after meals, or burning sensation in the upper abdomen.
In addition to the above diseases, gastrointestinal tract occupational lesions can also cause abdominal pain after meals. If the above symptoms are not relieved or accompanied by other symptoms, you should go to the hospital in time, under the guidance of a professional physician to clarify the cause, and then give targeted treatment.
