Abdominal pain in gastroenteritis is usually in the upper abdomen, periumbilical pain, and some patients may have pain in the whole abdomen.
Common symptoms of gastroenteritis include abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, etc., and the pain site is mostly in the upper abdomen and periumbilical area. Due to inaccurate localization of visceral nerves, some patients also show pain in the lower abdomen, right abdomen, or even the whole abdomen. The pain section is distending and colicky, which can last for minutes or hours, with many intermittent episodes.
Gastroenteritis is associated with unclean diet, alcohol abuse, irritating diet, long-term use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (e.g., ibuprofen, indomethacin), etc. It can be clarified by combining routine blood tests, routine stool tests, gastroenteroscopy, and abdominal plain films.
Regarding the diagnosis of gastroenteritis, it is recommended to consult a doctor for clarification in conjunction with medical history and auxiliary examinations.
