How to treat palpitations and near-death feeling the day after drinking

When palpitations and near-death feeling occur after drinking, the following conditions should be considered: i. hypoglycemia; ii. alcoholic cardiomyopathy; iii. acute angina pectoris or acute infarction attack. If a long-term alcoholic has palpitations and near-death feeling after stopping drinking, consider withdrawal syndrome and treat as follows: i. Oxygenation to keep the airway open. ii. Monitor blood pressure and pulse, perform electrocardiogram and cardiac enzyme profile. Check electrolytes and blood glucose, and according to the results of symptomatic treatment, correct water-electrolyte disorders. Give intravenous fluids, such as 5% glucose saline, and vitamin B1 and B6, as well as drugs that nourish the heart muscle. IV. If angina pectoris and heart attack occur, anticoagulation and other treatments are required.
