How to control your heart rate

Normal heart rate is 60~100 beats per minute, within this range does not need special control; however, if the patient’s heart rate is abnormal, then the heart rate should be controlled under the premise of identifying the cause of the disease.
1. Rapid heart rate: If the rapid heart rate is caused by physiological factors such as drinking alcohol or coffee, then it is only necessary to eliminate the causative factors; if it is due to pathological factors, such as hyperthyroidism, then it is necessary to control the heart rate by taking antithyroid drugs, such as methylthioimidazole or propylthiouracil.
2. Bradycardia: If the bradycardia is physiologic due to aging, it does not require special intervention if it does not reach a risky very low heart rate; if it is pathologic, e.g., hypothyroidism, it can be controlled by treating the primary cause with alternative therapy, e.g., levothyroxine sodium tablets.
If you have symptoms of discomfort, you should go to the hospital in time, under the guidance of a physician, to identify the cause of the condition and then give targeted treatment, rather than blindly using medication on your own.
