A 53-year-old heart rate is usually within the normal range of 60 to 100 beats per minute. If the heart beats within the range of 60~100 beats/min, it means that the heart can work normally to provide blood and oxygen to the body organs. If the heart rate is lower than 60 beats/min, or higher than 100 beats/min, it may affect the blood pumping of the heart, which may lead to insufficient blood supply to organs and manifestations such as dizziness and blurred vision. When the heart rate is less than 50 beats/min it is necessary to find out if the patient has a sick sinus node syndrome or atrioventricular block. For patients with tachycardia whose heart rate often exceeds 100 beats/minute at rest, check for hyperthyroidism, anemia, and other disorders. If the heart rate is not within the normal range, the patient is advised to go to the hospital for timely examination and normative treatment.
