Radiofrequency ablation postoperative care

Radiofrequency ablation is an invasive procedure in which a catheter is delivered to the site of the lesion after establishing access from a vein or artery. After radiofrequency ablation, the patient should be advised to take care of the following points. Firstly, the patient should be asked to stay in bed and rest for one hour with a sandbag compressed on the venipuncture site, and limb movement should be restricted to observe for bleeding. The second is to ask the patient to adhere to the medication and not to increase or decrease it at will. After radiofrequency ablation, anticoagulation therapy is needed, and the specific medication should be taken in accordance with the doctor’s prescription. The third is to closely observe the patient’s heart rate after radiofrequency ablation, if there is discomfort, we should report to the doctor in time, and if necessary, do electrocardiogram, cardiac ultrasound, etc. The last thing is to give the patient some easily digestible food while he is in bed, and to eat a light diet, avoid high-fat and fried foods, and eat more vegetables and fruits.
