The rabies vaccine is relatively safe and repeated rabies shots will not cause too much harm as long as there are no particularly noticeable adverse reactions. Repeated rabies vaccinations are generally not considered necessary. If five or four rabies vaccinations are given in full, the corresponding antibodies can be maintained for a relatively long period of time, about 3-5 years. Even if only three injections are given in advance and two rabies shots are given after a year, the corresponding rabies-neutralizing antibodies can even reach a period of about 10 years. Repeated rabies vaccinations are not necessary in all cases. Only in the case of a more serious bite from the bearer and a particularly high likelihood of rabies transmission is it recommended that the number of rabies injections or the number of rabies injections be slightly higher.
