Simple method of extracting acupoints from the mid-epigastric region

The simple method of taking the acupoint of the middle epigastric region is to take a supine position, on the mid-abdominal line, 4 inches above the umbilicus, i.e., at the mid-point of the line connecting the lower part of the sword protrusion to the umbilicus.
It is located in the upper abdomen, on the anterior midline, 4 inches above the umbilicus, and has branches of the anterior branch of the eighth thoracic nerve in the deep layers.
This point is used for treating nausea (lack of appetite, reduced food intake), vomiting, abdominal distension, stomach pain, hiccups, acid swallowing (swallowing acid from the stomach that rushes up to the oropharynx), noma (a kind of chronic disease of children, which is characterized by emaciation, dietary anomalies, abdominal distension, thinning of hair and yellowing of the hair, etc.), and is also used for epilepsy, agitation (distress and depression, sadness, and wanting to cry for no apparent reason), and jaundice, etc. It is often used in conjunction with other points in the abdomen.
It is often used together with other acupuncture points, such as for treating stomach pain, with Zhongsanli, Neiguan and Gongsun; for treating regurgitation and vomiting, Zhongsanli is used with Spleen Yu, Zhongkui and Zhongsanli; for treating intra-abdominal pain, Zhongsanli is used with Neiguan and Zhongsanli.
Note that acupuncture treatment needs to be operated by a professional acupuncturist, and should not be operated blindly by oneself in order to avoid causing injuries.
