Nasal polyps, chronic inflammatory diseases of the nasal-sinus mucosa, are characterized clinically by the protrusion of extremely edematous nasal mucosa into the nasal middle passage and the formation of polyp-like objects. In case of nasal polyposis, extensive edema-like hypertrophy of the nasal mucosa is its characteristic feature. The etiology of nasal polyps is more, mainly because of chronic inflammation of the nasal cavity and sinus mucosa long-term stimulation, which leads to edema of the nasal mucosa tissue, causing benign tissue hyperplasia in the nasal cavity. The occurrence of nasal polyps is also related to nasal mucosal cilia movement disorders; there may also be a closer relationship with allergies. As the development of nasal polyps and a variety of factors related to the treatment of nasal polyps, the treatment of nasal polyps, surgery-based comprehensive treatment. For the first nasal polyps, the polyps are small and located in the middle nasal tract, which does not affect the nasal ventilation and sinus drainage, can be conservatively treated with nasal hormone nasal spray. If the nasal polyps are large and affect the nasal ventilation, they need to be treated with endoscopic removal of nasal polyps and functional sinus opening surgery. After surgery, regular review of the nasal endoscopy at the otolaryngology clinic is required, and the nasal cavity is still treated with nasal hormonal nasal spray; oral treatment with small doses of macrolide antimicrobials for three months. If there are allergies, treatment with anti-blocking amines is required. Nasal endoscopic surgical treatment of nasal polyps can only address the nasal ventilation function and cannot completely resolve the chronic inflammation of the nasal mucosa. The comprehensive treatment after surgery is very important.
