The difference between hemoptysis and bloody sputum in lung cancer lies in pathogenic factors, prognosis and other aspects.
1. Pathogenic factors
Hemoptysis of lung cancer is mainly caused by invasion of bronchial mucosa or glands of lung by malignant tumor, which can be manifested as intermittent hemoptysis or small amount of hemoptysis, and occasionally hemoptysis.
There are many causes of hemoptysis, such as tuberculosis, bronchial dilatation, etc. It is mainly related to Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection, bronchial obstruction, etc. It is easy to be accompanied by other symptoms, such as night sweating (sweating abnormally after going to sleep, but sweating stops after waking up), chronic cough, and so on.
2. Prognosis
Lung cancer is a malignant tumor, and the prognosis is good in early stage with active treatment, and hemoptysis symptoms can be improved or disappeared. If the disease is in the middle or late stage or no treatment is taken, the condition will be aggravated easily and even life-threatening. If the cause of hemoptysis is clear, active treatment can improve the symptoms.
It is recommended that people with abnormal symptoms should consult a doctor in time for examination so that the disease can be clarified and treated according to the doctor’s instructions.
