Carelizumab is an anti-cancer treatment drug for anti-PD-1 immunotherapy, and its side effects include reactive capillary hyperplasia, immune-related myocarditis, pneumonia, hepatitis, and rash.
1. Reactive capillary hyperplasia: The most common side effect of Karilizumab is reactive capillary hyperplasia.
Reactive capillary hyperplasia occurs in most of the body surface skin, part of the special circumstances can be seen in the oral cavity, nasal mucosa and conjunctiva and other places. Its manifestation is mostly the appearance of bright red dots and warts on the surface of the skin, and with the increase in the number of medication, the affected area gradually increased in scope, and eventually more nodular or plaque-like material, the color is bright red or dark red.
2. Immunity-related myocarditis, hepatitis, pneumonia: As an immunotherapy drug, although the adverse effects of Karelizumab are lower than those of traditional chemotherapy, there are still serious immunity-related adverse effects, such as immunity-related myocarditis, hepatitis, pneumonia, etc. Immunity-related myocarditis is the most common form of immunotherapy in clinical practice.
Immune myocarditis is the immunotherapy-related adverse reaction with the highest clinical fatality rate, which is characterized by fatigue, chest tightness and breathlessness, and often occurs around 30 days after the drug is administered.
Immune-related pneumonia is commonly characterized by shortness of breath or dyspnea, cough, fever, and hypoxia.
Immune-related hepatitis is caused by autoimmune cells attacking normal cells in the liver.
3. Rash: In data from the SHR-1210-III-303-NSCLC Clinical Study Response, rash appeared as a common side effect reaction to carrilizumab.
