The decoction dosage of Radix Ledebouriella is usually 6-10g; that of Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae is usually 3-15g, but the exact dosage should be decided by the doctor according to the patient’s condition. 1. Radix Ledebouriella: It has the effect of eliminating food stagnation and bloating, lowering qi and resolving phlegm. The main treatment for food stagnation (food indigestion and stagnation in the stomach) stagnation of Qi, coughing and phlegm, chest tightness and less food. This product is pungent and exhausting, so it should be used with caution in cases of qi deficiency and those without food stagnation or phlegm stagnation. It should not be used with ginseng. 2. Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae: It is used to tonify Qi and strengthen the spleen, dry dampness and promote diuresis (drying dampness and reducing water-dampness in the body), stop sweating, and stabilize the fetus.
