Fatty infiltration of the liver is usually a clinical manifestation observed on imaging ultrasound or CT and is not a separate disease. Liver fatty infiltrate is a localized lesion compared to fatty liver, which is a diffuse fatty infiltrate, and is more likely to occur in people with obesity and chronic alcohol abuse, and if dietary habits are not improved in a timely manner, it may develop into a fatty liver, and some malnourished patients may also develop fatty infiltrate of the liver.
