Semi-autonomous people can carry out rehabilitation training through passive and active movement, homework rehabilitation and language rehabilitation.
1. Semi-autonomous patients need to strengthen passive movement at the beginning, practicing flexion and extension of joints with the help of family members, as well as practicing movements such as turning over, and trying to keep the patient in the sitting position as much as possible. Lower limb paralysis mainly exercises the muscle strength of the affected limbs, so that the patient can walk normally.
When the muscle strength is recovered, the patient can gradually transition to active movement. If necessary, the patient can use walking aids, crutches and other supportive devices to exercise the ability to stand up and walk.
2. In life, you can select some targeted activities, such as dressing, washing, toileting, opening and closing the door, etc. You can also carry out some simple household chores to improve the coordination of the body.
3. If the patient has language impairment, language function training is also needed to train the patient to spit and vocalize, and gradually transition to reading complete words and articles to promote the recovery of the patient’s language function.
Rehabilitation exercises for semi-self-care patients should be carried out from various aspects. It is recommended to choose a suitable way to carry out rehabilitation training under the guidance of the doctor.
