Leukoaraiosis is the most critical condition in respiratory medicine and is treated symptomatically according to the different types of leukoaraiosis. If it is a bacterial infection, it should be treated with strong antibiotics based on pathogenetic tests, such as sputum culture, blood culture, leukocytes and calcitoninogen. If it is a viral infection, such as SARS or avian influenza, try to find out the etiologic basis for the use of antiviral drugs. If the white lung is caused by other reasons, other organs or multiple organ failure, we should actively treat the other primary causes. In the presence of white lungs, blood gases should be checked, and if there is severe respiratory failure, tracheal intubation or tracheotomy and mechanical ventilation should be performed. The patient’s lungs should be treated with aggressive supportive therapy to keep vital signs stable and to buy time for the next step of treatment.
