How to treat cervical spondylosis

The treatment of cervical spondylosis is generally based on the severity of the condition to take appropriate therapeutic measures, the condition of the milder patients can be improved through conservative treatment of symptoms, while the more serious patients can be treated through surgery.
1. Conservative treatment: Patients with mild condition should change their lifestyles, avoid prolonged head down, use heat therapy, hot compresses, physical therapy such as massage or acupuncture under the guidance of professional doctors, and also use non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or nutritive nerve medications, commonly used medications include celecoxib, ibuprofen, and methylcobalamin.
2. Surgery: If the above treatments are ineffective or the symptoms of nerve or spinal cord compression are more serious, the patient should go to the hospital in time for evaluation, and if necessary, surgery should be taken to relieve the nerve or spinal cord compression and alleviate the symptoms.
Patients with cervical spondylosis are advised to receive treatment as early as possible under the guidance of a doctor.
