Typical case: In November last year, a female worker found a small lump on her left breast when she was taking a bath, and she ignored it as she felt no pain and no sensation. Later, the unit organized a physical examination and did ultrasound and tissue biopsy, and found that she suffered from early breast cancer. She was operated immediately and the operation went well. Because of early detection and treatment, the patient is now recovering well. She is still afraid of the consequences if she did not have a timely medical checkup. Many people often seek medical attention for breast pain, but it is rare for breast cancer patients to have breast pain. Some people do not recognize early symptoms of breast cancer such as painless breast lumps, nipple indentation and nipple discharge. Among the breast cancer patients admitted to our hospital in recent years, 18.6% of them are in stage III or above, and most of them have found out that they have the above signs of breast cancer for more than one year without going to the hospital. There is also a phenomenon that young women with relatively low risk of breast cancer have a high rate of regular medical checkups, while older women with relatively high risk of breast cancer have a low rate of regular medical checkups. We suggest that patients who find lumps in their breasts, regardless of whether they have pain symptoms or not, should first seek a breast specialist for standardized examination, combined with ultrasound, molybdenum X-ray and other auxiliary means of examination, and, if necessary, histopathological examination to achieve a clear diagnosis. Nowadays, the incidence rate of breast cancer has jumped to the first place of female cancers in the world, and physical examination and regular outpatient checkups are the main means for early detection of the disease.
