Heart failure can be divided into left heart failure and right heart failure. Left heart failure manifests itself in different degrees of dyspnea, fatigue, reduced activity tolerance, dizziness, etc.; right heart failure manifests itself mainly in abdominal distension, lack of appetite, nausea, and swelling of the lower limbs.
1. Left heart failure: In left heart failure, blood is stagnant in the left atrium and left ventricle, and cannot be pumped out of the body in time, which leads to pulmonary stasis and respiratory symptoms, such as exertional dyspnea, pink foamy sputum, etc. Severe patients may not be able to sleep flat, and paroxysmal nocturnal dyspnea may occur; the amount of peripheral circulating blood decreases, and the pumping is insufficient, which leads to dizziness, malaise, and reduced endurance to activities.
2. Right heart failure: blood in right heart failure is mainly stagnated in the digestive system and periphery, resulting in abdominal distension, lack of appetite, nausea, symmetrical swelling of both lower limbs and other manifestations.
When the above manifestations of heart failure occur, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time to clarify the causes of heart failure and to carry out targeted treatment.
