Is gammaglobulin a nutritional product?

Gammaglobulin is an immunoglobulin product made from healthy human plasma, separated and extracted by low-temperature ethanol method and treated with virus inactivation. It can be divided into two types according to different sources: one is human blood gammaglobulin extracted from healthy human venous blood, and the other is human placental blood gammaglobulin extracted from healthy human placental blood, the latter has been discontinued. The clinical use of gammaglobulin is very strict and will not be used for random immunization, but only for the treatment of certain diseases. For example: treatment of immunodeficiency disorders such as congenital C globulin deficiency, variable immunodeficiency, and cellular defects with abnormal immunoglobulin synthesis; treatment of massive burns, severe trauma infections, and sepsis or endotoxemia. Early administration of high doses of propecia globules can result in a significant reduction in mortality. In addition, it only works on the specific immune deficiency of one of the globulin deficiencies, and its ability to improve immune function is limited, not to mention the role of cold prevention. For those who are weak and have been ill for a long time, have low immune function or are treated with corticosteroids and other immunosuppressive agents, the addition of gammaglobulin can help control infection while applying effective antimicrobial agents. However, after all, gammaglobulin is a blood product, and once the blood source is contaminated, the patient has a great chance of contracting infectious diseases after injection, and in recent years, clinical cases of infection due to injection of unclean blood products have been found, so modern epidemiology believes that gammaglobulin cannot be used in large quantities and widely in clinical practice for immunoprophylaxis. The mechanism of action of gammaglobulin: 1, passive immunity When gammaglobulin is injected into the body lacking gammaglobulin, its immunity to remove invading bacteria and viruses is transferred to the latter, meaning that it acts directly rather than mobilizing the body’s protective effect, so it is called “passive immunity”, which is different from the active immunity of general vaccines. This is different from the active immunity of vaccines. The C globules are gradually excreted in the body after 3-4 weeks, so the effect of protecting the body’s health is short-lived and limited. 2.Automatic immunity under passive immunity protection Globulin C contains various antibodies that healthy human serum has, and if there are pathogens invading at this time, it may reduce the severity of the disease or present a hidden infection, so that the human body has a more lasting automatic immunity. For example, hepatitis A antibodies in C globules can effectively prevent hepatitis A (except for those who have developed the disease). People who have not had measles or have not used measles vaccine in contact with measles patients within 6 days after the injection of C ball, can obtain passive immunity without measles or reduce the symptoms, can prevent 3 to 8 weeks. For susceptible children who have not taken live polio vaccine sugar pills, injection of C ball within 7 days after contact with a patient with the disease can also prevent or reduce the onset of the disease. In addition, Propecia globules are useful for chickenpox, mumps, and irregular herpes. The prevention of disease should not rely on gammaglobulin. Gammaglobulin injections for children to strengthen their resistance are largely a result of a protective and coddling mentality, in the hope that the child will become less sick and less painful after the injection, and that the child will grow up healthily in an environment with as few illnesses and setbacks as possible. However, deliberately avoiding diseases that are “beneficial” to children is not a good thing.       There are some mild acute or latent viral infections that can cause the child to acquire antibodies and develop lifelong immunity to the disease, which is not harmful or even beneficial to the infected person. As a rule, the best way to strengthen children’s resistance is to have a balanced diet and more physical activity.       For some children who are really quite weak, medication should be given on a case-by-case basis, but not gammaglobulin injections. Therefore, the blind view that gammaglobulin is a nutritional medicine and a strong tonic is not scientific. Problems to be noted when using gammaglobulin 1. The protective effect of gammaglobulin is short-lived, up to 3-4 weeks, therefore, the duration of gammaglobulin to enhance resistance is also short-lived, about 25 days. 2, repeated injections of propecia, the body can form propecia antibodies, inhibit their own gammaglobulin production, affect the ability to produce automatic immunity, but also may cause the body to produce “anti-antibodies”, increasing the body’s chances of allergic reactions, when really need propecia, this antibody will also neutralize the imported treatment of propecia, making the treatment ineffective. Because it may affect the autoimmune ability, it is prohibited for children under 1 year old. 3. Allergic reactions of different severity may occur: allergic reactions, such as flushing, shortness of breath, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and even asthma or even shock, may occur during the use of the drug. Although gammaglobulin is produced in strict accordance with the Blood Donation Law and other relevant laws, the chance of carrying HIV, hepatitis C virus and syphilis in gammaglobulin is very small, but there is still a possibility of infection for long-term users. At the same time, with the current technology, there is still a risk of contamination, not 100% safe. 5, C ball has no preventive effect on hepatitis B, but may lead to prolong the course of the disease, the formation of chronic hepatitis or continuous state with poison. It may also cause neonatal hemolysis and even hepatitis. 6, people who have ever injected gammaglobulin should pay attention to regular checkups. The onset of hepatitis C is insidious, progresses slowly, and is more likely to evolve into cirrhosis and liver cancer than hepatitis B. And so far, there is no special drug to cure hepatitis C, only drugs to control the disease. 7. Due to different raw materials, there are differences in the level of antibodies to C globules in different products. 8, within 1 month after the injection of C ball, you can not inject the vaccine or vaccine that can prevent infectious diseases, otherwise it will make the vaccination or vaccination ineffective.
