Is the headache caused by wind-cold or wind-heat?

Headache may be caused by wind-cold, wind-heat, wind-dampness, phlegm-dampness and blood stasis. In addition, people with deficiency of qi and blood may suffer from headache and dizziness, aggravated by labor, pale face, palpitation, shortness of breath, fear of wind, and fatigue (mental exhaustion and physical weakness); people with phlegm-dampness blockage may suffer from headache and dizziness, fullness in the chest and epigastrium, and vomiting of phlegm and saliva; and people with stasis and blood stagnation may suffer from prolonged headache, which is like a stabbing pain that is especially severe at night and is fixed and immovable, or people with a history of trauma to the head. After the discomfort should be timely medical treatment, under the guidance of the physician’s diagnosis and selection of medication, not self-medication, so as not to delay the condition.
