What is the process of recovering from a facial abrasion?

After a facial abrasion, you will go through a relatively long recovery process, including scabbing, scab removal, and recovery from hyperpigmentation.
After an abrasion, the damaged out of the face will be red, swollen, and even oozing tissue fluid and scabbing.
After some time, these scabs will fall off naturally. Be careful not to pick off the scabs after they have formed, as this may cause secondary trauma and scarring.
After the scabs fall off, the exposed skin is more delicate, and the face is an exposed part, easy to be affected by external ultraviolet rays, dust, so after the abrasion, there may be pigmented spots on the face, that is, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
Recovery of hyperpigmentation usually takes 1~3 months, or even longer, depending on the individual. Once the post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation has recovered, the facial abrasions will return to normal.
