Difference between inflammatory nodules and pulmonary nodules

Inflammatory nodules are a kind of lung nodules, which include inflammatory nodules, calcified nodules, benign tumors, malignant tumors and other different types. 1. Inflammatory nodules: Inflammatory nodules are mainly caused by infection, including pneumonia, lung abscess, tuberculosis and other nodules. Inflammatory nodules will gradually disappear after active anti-infection and anti-inflammatory treatment. Generally, after about one month of anti-inflammatory treatment and review, inflammatory nodules can be seen to shrink significantly or even disappear. 2. Lung nodules: Lung nodules are not actually a disease, but a result of lung imaging. They include benign and malignant nodules. Benign nodules include vascular shadows, pulmonary lymph node hyperplasia, inflammatory nodules, benign tumors and so on. Malignant nodules, on the other hand, include precancerous lung lesions, primary lung cancer, and metastatic cancer. If the presence of lung nodules is detected during lung imaging, further examination should be performed as prescribed by the doctor and the treatment should be in accordance with the results of the examination.
