How often family members of TB patients should be examined

Family members of TB patients are usually examined once every 3-6 months, and TB patients must also be actively treated. TB is contagious and spreads through respiratory droplets. Family members living with a TB patient may be infected with the disease while caring for the TB patient. Until the TB patient is cured, it is recommended that family members of TB patients go to the hospital every 3-6 months to make sure they are healthy. To determine whether they are infected with the disease, family members of TB patients can do imaging tests, sputum culture tests, tuberculin tests, etc. The results of the tests can be used to basically determine whether they are infected with TB. In the conditions allow, tuberculosis patients do not live in the same room with their families, and tuberculosis patients do a good job of personal care, sputum wrapped in paper towels and burned. TB patients should also go to the hospital in a timely manner, through the standardized treatment program to control the disease.
