Babies watching TV with slanted eyes, may be related to sitting posture, strabismus, refractive error and other factors, the child needs to improve the sitting posture, but also through the wearing of glasses, surgical treatment, etc. to correct the eye position, to alleviate eye discomfort.
1. Sitting position: when the baby watching TV sits in an improper position, the performance of watching TV with squinted eyes may occur. If the baby sits in a relatively biased position, the performance of watching TV with slanted eyes can also occur. This situation is mostly physiological reasons, generally do not need special treatment, parents need to teach the baby correct sitting posture.
2. Strabismus: the baby’s eyes have strabismus, because the eye position is skewed, in order to see the object clearly, the child may appear tilted head, slanting neck to watch TV performance. Adjustable strabismus children can wear glasses to correct the refractive error, so as to balance the eye position. Children with non-adjustable strabismus who cannot be corrected with glasses can be treated with strabismus surgery, such as medial rectus muscle reduction.
3. Refractive error: when the baby’s eyes have myopia, hyperopia or astigmatism and other refractive errors, in order to see more clearly when watching TV, the child may also appear squinting, squinting performance.
